Anyone get their game to work just long enough to update?

I finally got it to read. Updated the system. Clicked start... went right back to the home screen. I feel like Nintendo is just playing a big joke on me. Like I'm in the Truman Show.

Everything should be working fine now, updates always take the user back to the home screen.
