Wonderful as the laziness copypasta allows, pretty sure t'was invented for convenience moreso. If ya need t' give countless paragraphs to someone via any sort'a messaging service, it's easier to copy/paste than it is to attach the file containing said paragraphs.

That, and copypasta allows ya t' take pieces of information rather than the whole deal without selectively re-typin' it all.
