If I'm not mistaken, it only plays during certain games, like Excite Truck. It just depends if the game itself supports in personal in-game music.

^^ currently the only title im aware of that does this is excite truck, but hopefully brawl will have this option. can you imagine listening to enter sandman when smashing someone? that'd be awesome!
