no connectivity

good day, hope someone can help. I am new to wii. I bought a used console, worked for about a year, turned it on today, tv had wii menu sreen but could not get hand controller to do anything on screen.New batteries in controller, bought new |wireless| sensor bar, stilll nothing, any ideas. lights are on (console and hand controller). have had it hooked to tv only, no router:sick:

press the sync button on the wii & controller & search before you ask cuz there a few thread that been answered on this question
