no video, buzzing audio

Hi all!

So I bring my Wii to a friends house to play, and when I get back home there is no video on the screen and a loud buzzing sound from the speakers. However, I can still hear the Wii menu loading up and can feel the Wiimote vibrate as I move it around the screen. Any ideas? It's not under warranty so I am prepared to do whatever fix myself.

I actually fixed this by moving the av cables around. It seems that they were tangled with the power cable which must have been causing some kind of interference. Whew!

There could be several causes, but it sound like a ground loop problem. I'm curious as to how your connecting your PC to three different receivers. Maybe your not doing the sound card audio output distribution properly.
