yeah, that tends to happen. Its actually better to continue to post in ONE thread than spam up a lot of them. Its this reason mods tend to combine similar posts. So its good to keep this going so we dont clutter the boards.

Also everyone knows your opinion on the PS3, but why do you have to say the same thing 20 times in this same post already? I mean, unless someone asks you directly or you are responding to someone in particular, its pointless to keep saying "The ps3 sucks" every chance you get. This is also your opinion, its not a fact. Fact says its a lot of value for the price, opinion states whether or not you value whats in it over something else you can spend the money on.

Okay...please don't lecture me on why the threads are long. I already KNOW. Hence why I hate it when people create useless threads and I usually call them out on it. I don't spam random threads at all and I wouldn't do it for the "fun of it" like some on this forum do. I was just kidding about how long this particular one has grow. Was I saying the thread should be shut down? NO. Was I saying that I don't want it to continue? NO. Think before you ASSume things.

As for the p$3 and my comments on it yes its my opinion. I think its a horrible product made by a horrible company. And I happen to believe that its a widely held belief which I would wager on. Its poor sales speak volumes about how "great" the p$3 is. A great product will sell regardless of expense because most consumers realize its great and cost isn't a factor. There are numerous examples of high end really expensive (sometimes overpriced) stuff that people still buy by the millions because its worth it to them.

And guess what? Its a FREE COUNTRY. At least here in the United States that is. I can say what I want, when I want, however many TIMES I want. Deal with it. The more pressing question is why you continually assault people in all threads? Why do you feel like you're somehow better than everyone else on this forum besides the mods? You don't run wiichat. At this point hardly anyone takes you seriously since you seem more intent on attacking everyone here rather than "discuss". Once again I think you should go to a p$3 forum for your writers block issues where you can gab about how awesome the p$3 machine is because I'm not going to quit talking about it and I doubt anyone else is either.

the nintendo wii has taken the world by storm. the fact that it's outselling the playstation 3 cannot be ruled out as a "people are poor" factor; that's just ridiculous. people buy the nintendo wii by the boatloads because it simply is the better system. surely, you're not so naiive as to believe that nobody with money has bought a wii and that everyone who is financially well-off only goes with the ps3. what we need to keep in mind is that nintendo has BEEN the gaming industry since we were all children. sony only took a stab at the gaming world (as opposed to the televisions and stereo systems it's SUPPOSED to be selling) because they knew it was a cash cow. because of this, sony has neglected to make quality games, games worth spending money on. and on top of that, sony must resort to high-end technology to push their product. to use an analogy, i'd much rather buy a honda civic because i trust honda and because honda has never, ever let me down (not honda specifically, lol). conversely, i'd shoot myself if i sold out and bought a benz simply because it has better technology. that's just ridiculous.

bottom line: none of you can deny nintendo's roots; name one person who HASN'T tried the franchise that is Mario. and when you're done, i dare you to tell me that EVERYONE IN THE WORLD has played tomb raider, or final fantasy, or whatever else sony gaming is known for.

so from what i understand its bad for a company to use the newest and best technology in a system. you would rather have them use the same stuff. then whats the point of NEXT-GEN gaming? your telling me you would be fine with gamecube graphics knowing you could have 360 and ps3 graphics?

going back to your analogy your telling me you would rather have a civic over a benz?! i know its just a analogy but are you KIDDING ME! thats like saying i would rather spend 10 000 on a civic which i know will give me problems rather than spend 20 000 on a benz which has been proven to last better than most cars on the market. same goes for consoles, you pay 279(cad) for last gen graphics with wii mote. while you can pay 499(360) or 699(ps3) for next gen graphics and much more(entertainment hub) also you have that sense of assurance that 4,5 mb even 6 years down the road you wont be having the feeling that you got ripped off.

Yes mario is a good game in which alot of people have played and still do play (gotta love Virtual console ) but sony did have alot of great games for the ps1 ps2(god of war, final fantasy, GTA) the only game i would actually compare to Mario, popularity wise is Grand Theft Auto the whole series, i personally believe this game is way more popular than mario ever was( note this is only my opinion, im not saying that mario sucks i love the game!) and if you ask most gamers they will all tell you that they have played GTA.

honestly yes i would play gta over mario. and majority of the current gen gamers would agree with me, the only ones who would disagree is people who were around for the actual launch of mario.

actually you would think the people like me who have been around mario since the beginning would start liking what mario has become less and less. Im not affraid to admit i dont like what they are doing with the mario franchise, it just keeps getting worse and worse in my opinion. Example: changing names from princess toadstool to peach, the addition of walugi and wario, a lesser focus on bowser, happy happy kid super mega fun colors mario... i mean they are running out of ideas and they keep making it worse instead of improving on what they did in the beginning. As someone who has been around since the beginning i have to say im dissapointed. Mario games do not interest me anymore, but i do prefer the older games. Just not the newer ones.
