MCV reports today that the UK is to get the limited edition red 25th Anniversary Mario Wii bundle, which includes a red Nunchuck, MotionPlus Remote, a copy of New Super Mario Bros Wii and Wii Sports as well as Donkey Kong pre-loaded onto the crimson console. The fantastic new bundle will be released on October 29th, which is actually before a similar bundle, previously reported on by MCV, is released in Japan in November. The Japanese bundle is slightly different from the UK version, featuring the original Super Mario Bros. NES game pre-loaded on the console instead of Donkey Kong. According to MCV, the version of Super Mario Bros. featured on the Japanese red Wii has been updated to include little extras such as coin boxes with ‘25’ on them.

Although there’s no word as yet from Nintendo about pricing for the UK’s red Wii, the Japanese version will retail for YEN 20,000, which is roughly £150.
