Yes, yes, I know, I'm on a Wii forum, but alas- I have no Wii. Shameful it is, truly.
However, I have a good reason for not having one but still being here. That reason, is that I use to have one, and now I'm interested in buying another.
I owned a Wii about a year and some ago, and back then, it really felt like there were no games around to play for it. Okay, there was Brawl which was great, and MP3- but besides that, nothing really interested me.
Now, if you have had the pleasure (or maybe misfortune?) of reading my post in the Gamecube section, there is one thing you will know about me- I am the biggest Gamecube fan the world has ever seen. I believe I own just about every worth-while Gamecube game, I still play PSO on a private server, and I bought the broadband adapter just for it, I have it modded with multiple accessories, etc. On and on. You get the idea.
But I feel as though, it might be time to move on. I own a PS3, and I use to own a 360, but the 360 somewhat bored me and the PS3...Well, I'm a bit stuck in the middle there.
The point is though, now talk of much more sufficient games such as Metroid: Other M and Red Steel 2 are coming about, and after giving some careful consideration to it, my lust for Brawl and for having an all-in-one-console (via the VC) only grows stronger. So the real question is....Should I buy a Wii?
I have some games I can trade in, and right now I can get a Wii for $149.99 at Gamestop with a special offer, and since I have about $800 of work money laying around, there's really no reason not to buy one at this point.
The sad fact is however, I am afraid that I will purchase it, never use it, and it will just turn up like all the rest of the next-gen consoles I've purchased- worthless, and that in the end, I'll go right back to my Gamecube and it's fine seleciton of $2.99 bargain bin games.
