The best giant robot series?

What was your favorite giant robot series?
It can be American or Japanese.
Mine is Mobile Suit Gundam or Tengen Turren Toppen Gurren Laggan and Megas XLR

My favourite would have to be Bokurano. For those who haven't heard of it (most of you, I'm guessing), it's like Evangelion, but better.

Macross was pretty good too.

Evangelion is pretty epic too but in a different way.

Japanese: Evangelion (although EVAs units are more like us than like robots xD)
