Yes the Pokemans have online gameplay in Japan. So its coming, don't worry.

Japan may have online games. But Nintendo is using them to test their online market. Pokemon online will eventually spawn more Wii games online. I'm just glad almost day 1 Nintendo has been testing their online game mode. It's clear Japan will get everything first though.
