What Franchise is better : Mario or Zelda?

Man...it's Mario Hands down...and I love Zelda to death. Still not sure what the hatred of Sunshine is. Overall, I think the game gave me more bang than SM64. Overall I thought the levels in 64 were better, but the gameplay in Sunshine was quite a bit more fun and fluid for me.

I think the zelda series is more interesting - but I enjoy both!

well you have to remember that from the Mario series came Donkey Kong, Bowser, Yoshi, and all of those characters that have come to be popular even outside Mario's games...but I still prefer Zelda and Metroid goes in third place for me
