You can get a wireless router now days for 30 or less$. I got a netgear and it is badass. I got it at radio shack for about 30$.

Just get wired lan adapter $20, unless you have a wireless router.

if you have a ds or something else that i would use wireless then i would splurg (sp?) for the wireless router cuz then you can get online with other things also but be sure to turn that security on

if u have a working pc with windows xp and usb 2.0, then the wi-fi usb stick is also another option. no wires needed (compared to lan adaptor). but ur pc must be on everytime ur online wid Wii.
