Have no idea how i got it i think i was on gamefaqs when the message just poped up saying i had a virus and then it told me that it was going to scan and i clicked the little check but it didnt do anything. Also every once in a while something pops up scaning for viruses its really wierd it does tell me which viruses i have, dont remember them though next time it pops up ill write them down.sorry no dont have any pick of the message.

are u sure is a virus and not a pop up window trying to sell u something?

sounds like a pop up window to me...... go back to the site and see if it comes up again..... take a pic if u can for us to see.

or post the link of the site u r talking about.

LOL it's a pop up...LOL WOW you do realize windows art in a Wii browser is not how such a pop up would look and also the Wii has no software to alert you of such thing. This is another reason why the soft mods are not good because you need almost a developer key to get to the bio. free games Roms are great but once you realize your security is compromised then you may have a problem when your credit card number is posted on the internet.

If you were surfing the web at the time, yes it's most likely to be spam, (as X@vier said) and you just happened to click it, so there is a possibility its a hoax, but you never know. Some people tend to claim there is no such thing as "exploits" or "vulnerabilities" for consoles, and I'm sorry to say this but there is.

i hope it was a hoax if it happens again ill take a picture of it and post it on a new topic if this one isnt around. thanks to all.

It was definitely a spam.Is there a wii firewall-notification alert at all???

Try deleting all your cookies in options!
I knew it was only a matter of time before this happened, hackers are always busy!
I'm sure Nintendo will keep releasing updates and patches though.
Also if you were looking @ porn, who cares you can still say to Nintendo that i want this repaired without loosing my data, Remember the wii's a delicate machine!
