It seems Team Meat has decided that WiiWare is not a good fit for Super Meat Boy and have officially cancelled the game's development for the service. They've also let it be known that a Wii retail release is also looking grim, which pretty much lays to rest any semblance of hope that we'll see the boy of meat on the Nintendo Wii console.
Perhaps the guys at Team Meat can work their magic on a version for Nintendo's upcoming 3DS handheld, but in the meantime, if you want your fix of Super Meat Boy, you'll have to get it via Xbox Live Arcade or on your PC. Truly a sad day indeed for Wii fans who've long been looking forward to the game.
