The Mario Baseball sounds like a lot of fun. When does that Release?

I predict that Wii Fit is going to flop in the USA.

The Japanese are a bit different than we are... I can understand why Wii Fit would appeal to them.

Besides, the maker of Wii Fit has already admitted it's got nothing to do with getting fit.

True, but while Americans aren't as health conscious as the Japanese, they certainly like to look health conscious. If the Wii Fit is viewed as a shiek look-at-how-athletic-I-am device, it will sell just fine in the USA. It'll sit in a corner next to that mountain bike that was only ridden once and the treadmill that has become a place to hang clothes.

Wii Sports will get more use than Wii Fit for people who own both, and probably provide a better workout (at least judging how me and my friends play tennis).

Animal Crossing and Wii Fit are both to own on my list : )

Wii Fit is more of raising your health concious as oppose to getting a nice workout and getting buff, just imagine it as what Brain Age does. I do see some mini games that would provide a decent work out though, such as jogging and push up.

As for AC I can't wait :3 I doubt it will be virtual world so don't get your hopes up high and then complain about how it's not. They might extend the wifi service of DS version some, but I don't think they will do it too much since Big N wants to play things safe :x Still AC for the GC was nice, wonder what this one will turn out like.

I definitely think that WiiFit will be a huge hit in the US. I think that, and all these other games will keep things going for the Wii. Now, it is a possibility that a lot of people in the US will buy WiiFit, and a percentage will not actually use the thing past the first week. Never underestimate Americans ability to spend lots of money on things they never use. I am really good at that.

In response to people saying Wii Fit won't sell good in the U.S., I think it is going to sell just fine. Look at how crazy everyone went over DDR, there were reports on the national news about "the new video game exercising obsession" and I remember hearing about how some schools were even buying it for their PE class. I know a lot of parents who rushed out and bought it in a desperate effort to get their kids to exercise. You think Americans are gonna pass this up?

DDR I understand. It's about music and dancing, two things very popular in the USA's "American Idol" and "Dancing With The Stars" culture.

Wii Fit (suggests that it) is about fitness... which is about as popular as McDonald's is unpopular.

The thing i'm most excited for is a Kid Icarus Wii game, Pit's inclusion in Smash has made me respect that angel kid. He's a whole lot cooler (not literally though) than the Ice Climbers.

Yeah, after buying the first one off VC and playing it constantly, I cannot wait much longer for the day the sequel arrives.

I am excited for all of them, especially Animal Crossing Wii and Wii Music.

"With over 40 instruments including guitar, drums, maracas and violin." Maracas lol

Animal Crossing intrigues me but I wish there was more info online. I can't even find screenshots. So I'm staying restrained.

This year is looking to be a lot better than previous ones for sure.

Tons of great titles for the Wii, competition will be stiff though.

Is there a list of major games of 08 for the Xbox360? If so, could you PM me a link, please?

Kirby Wii looks exciting, I liked the Kirby Masterpiece in SSBB so a platform Kirby would be fun.

yeah but IMO they did something wrong when they released ssbb and mario kart within month or two of each other. everything good will be spent on first 6 months. if they had releasd mario kart at the end of the year, it would have been better since gamers would have been craving for something good after ssbb. between thhose two, people wouldnt be able choosr between two because they can be played for a long time. it would even out of course if ninty releases killer games during the 3 and 4 quarter.

I disagree. While there are plenty of people who will want and buy both, I think there is such a significant number of people to whom only one game appeals that Nintendo saw the benefit of getting them out ASAP.

If those who only care about Mario Kart had to wait until the end of 2008 to get the game they most want in 2008, it'd be quite the miserable year. Why artificially delay the release?

I am personally in the Mario Kart group. I couldn't care less about SSBB, but I'm hotly anticipating Mario Kart Wii. I can think of a lot of my friends who are the same way.

yeah and i respect your position but thats just my opinion. why blow all your steam at once? let it out slowly so u dont become a dud. unless ninty has something "3P1C W1N" stuff coming out that they havent announced yet.
