A bad thing can be good sometimes

I hear the PS3 outsold the Wii in October in Japan. (NOTICE: Japan, not USA). Nintendo needs a little brick over the head and a kick in the butt to make some realizations that what they thought was best really wasn't (straying from hardcore fans and going for casuals...you all know exactly what i'm talking about; hard drive, headsets, DLC, etc.)

Opinions?

EDIT: This isn't confirmed, but its speculated. (sales figures not in yet).

Nothing will change, Nintendo will just continue as normal.

No, just for the WEEK ending November 11 did the PS3 outsell the Wii in Japan.

Lets be honest though no one console can keep out selling the other all the time theres bound to be some months when one will out sell the other no matter how hard Nintendo or PS3 advertise etc....

Competition right now is a good thing. The success of the Wii made Sony and Microsoft rethink some of it's strategy and figure out ways to reduce the overall cost of the systems. If it's a lasting trend Nintendo should try to counter.

It wasn't even a month, it was the week of 11/4-11/10 and only in Japan, the Wii outsold the other two consoles as a whole in that week.

it's because almost everyone in japan has a wii so there is a smaller percentage who will by wiis than ps3s... wii all the way! but, get a hard drive.
