It's occurred to me before but I've just experienced enough of it. Has anyone else noticed how large a role luck plays in here?
I've lost count of how many times I did my best to set up a good attack, get a good position, a max charged ball and my strongest attacker only to be caught by the keeper no problemo. Followed by that, my opponent scores with a half charged ball and some totally sucky shooting guy like dry bones or toad, no skillshot. When it says a guy's shooting is minimum, it should damn well stay there.
When I play my friend offline, for some reason he always gets invincibility and that doggy, while I get stupid bananas continuously. He's a noob, so I still beat him, but that's not the point.
I don't like playing idiots, they're too easy; I like having a balanced game. The point is how a perfectly balanced game can be ruined by simple, stupid luck. Sometimes I'd like to press the head of whoever come up with this against my tv like 'wtf is that?'.

Anyone feeling me?

Regardless of how much luck is involved, quality should prevail. Well, in my case thats what its like.
He scores 1, i score 2 thats my motto

Luck plays an important factor in almost any Nintendo game that features mario and the gang.

This is why in my oppinion the games are so easy for everyone. ( strikers charged and melee are a bit of an exception ) and especially fun.

Its the same as anything, u always get luck for you, some against you! So in my eyes its a pointless discussion!

It's just that luck isn't necessary distributed evenly, and if it plays a big role, it can outdo skills. That's just what itching me, I just don't think chars with the lowest shooting skill should be able to outdo power shooters in any way, and the sorts.

When was the time you saw luck distributed evenly? If this was so than Casino's wouldnt even exist :p

And yea, the only stat that really matters is speed.
