Bad News Argos Pre-Orderers!

So what? I ain't getting mine til next week sometime, but I ain't stressed, as long as I get it I ain't assed :) You shouldn't be either, just think of the unlucky ones who will have to wait til actual crimbo day.
 
Welll, heres the call i just made

"Her: Hello this is ___ at the Nintendo Wii hotline, How can i help you
Me: Hi, i'd like to find out if i will get my Nintendo Wii on the release date or not
Her: Did you get an automated phone call?
Me: I did but i hung up when i heard automated call
Her: Hah, well all the message was to say is that you will recieve your wii between 8am and 6pm"

So yours is being delivered at launch?

P.S. Just called my local GAME.

They got 81 consoles yesterday and managed to recieve 84 pre-orders.

3 un-happy people on Friday then........

My coversation: (by the way the dudes name was Chris)

Chris: Hello my name is Chris how may I help?

Moi: Yeah, I'm just checking that the Nintendo Wii I pre-ordered would be delivered on the Launch date.

Chris: Could you please hold for a moment?

Moi: Yep

Chris: Hello?

Moi: Yeah

Chris: Have you heard anything back from us?

Moi: No

Chris: Then you should recieve the console on Friday morning as there have been no problems.

Moi: But I was told it wouldn't be delivered then.

Chris: It definately will be delivered to all Pre-Orders on the 8th of December.

Moi: Should I not have recieved a call to arrange delivery?

Chris: A few calls are yet to be made as the office closes at 10 so you will maybe get your tommorow.

Moi: Okay thanks alot. Good Luck!

Chris: Bye

Im reading posts om other sites of people getting mixed messages.

Some say it won't be delivered on the 8th
Others say it will
Everyone else is just as confused as me!


Read that if you didn't get a call you won't get it but I was told instore i would and have payed the full amount!



Launch shambles? I think so!
 
To be honest, I have always been very skeptical that I'd get it at launch, because it seemed a bit too good to be true.
 
Can't remember the exact date, but i know it was the first day they were taking pre-orders. My mate works there and checked on the system and we were the first two to pre-order it from that store :)
 
Ah okay. Judging by the other Argos thread, it doesn't look like they've been allocated on a first come, first serve basis anyway.
