    No puzzle game will beat portal IMO, atleast not for a while... Luckily portal came with the orange box so it was $60 for 5 games. I wouldn't pay much for a puzzle game anymore.

    i seriously want portal, but i dont like the other games in the orange, box, except possibly team fortress, never played it.

    but portal looks, brilliant, to me, and highly original, and i desperatly, want it, now

    I guess you don't really like shooters? Half Life is probably the best single player shooter of all time. The story is nothing short of amazing and the gameplay is close to flawless to me, I don't see any shortcomings to Half-Life.
