Activision has revealed today that when DJ Hero 2 is released on October 22nd, 2010, on all major consoles including the Wii, it will feature over 100 of the biggest tracks from the hottest artists, all remixed and transformed into 80-plus unique mixes exclusively for the game, including the likes of Eminem’s “Not Afraid”, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”, Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop” feat. Static Major, and 2Pac feat. Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman’s “California Love Remix”.

With all the songs revealed, DJ Hero 2 has also launched the “Name that Mix Challenge” on the DJ Hero 2 Facebook page, testing fans’ knowledge of music to discover the game’s eagerly anticipated mixes. Every week from now until September 20th, fans can view a “mashup of mashups” video, from which they must try and determine which songs were used to make up each mix. Over 275 prizes will be available weekly, including trips to see DJ Hero 2 artists live, and professional DJ equipment. Visit the site here to find out more about the challenge and join in yourself. Here’s Dan Neil, Music Director, FreeStyleGames, talking about the music featured in DJ Hero 2:

“The individual songs that have been mixed into the*DJ Hero 2 soundtrack have been viewed online more than 1.5 billion times, which really speaks volumes to both the size and scope of our music.
