Downloading Froze

When I was downloading the Wii Browser and Forecast, it froze. It has been stuck on the same thing for about an hour and when I disconnected my internet, I didn't get an error code. This is leadnig me to believe it's frozen. It says 'Do Not turn off power'. Will my Wii get messed up if I do?

Vash that post was unnecessary and pointless. Also I suggest that you unplug the console. It cant mess it up. Its that or have your wii like that forever.
