Just out of interest...how many of u have actually used the brakes in excite races?

And is there an excite truck 2 coming out?

No, I don't actually remember using them, except for some turns.
And I am not sure about an Excite Truck 2. I think it was a rumour because Nintendo have stated that they are not working on another Excite Truck game at the moment. They may do so in the future though.
