Ubisoft and CBS Consumer Products got together today to announce the development of a video game based on the top-rated drama series, NCIS, which will be coming to all major consoles, including the Wii, on October 28. This represents the first time ever that the world of the NCIS TV drama series has featured on any games console. In the game, fans get to play as their favourite character from the NCIS series and search for clues to solve complex murder, espionage and terrorist cases. If you choose to play as agents Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo, then you get to investigate crime scenes just as they would, or if you play as Abby Sciuto, you get to conduct forensics analyses. Playing as Ducky Mallard gives you access to the world of victim autopsies, whereas if you’re special agent Gibbs, you can interrogate and break suspects. Finally, playing as special agent McGee, you get to use satellite tracking to catch the bad guys when they’re on the run.

The game features four original NCIS episodes written and developed with the writers of the hit TV show, with the action taking you to exotic environments from a casino in Atlantic City to a luxury hotel in Dubai. Discover exciting connections between the four cases as you crack each one, and work towards solving the entire investigation. Engaging, motion-control-based mini-games and activities keep you on your toes as you scour crime scenes for clues, collect evidence, use the latest forensic tools to perform autopsies, and conduct dramatic interrogations of suspects. Then you get to use your deductive skills to try and tie all the evidence together.

This really does sound like the sort of the game that fans of the show will love to immerse themselves in, as they get to experience NCIS team camaraderie, bond with their favourite NCIS characters and experience the group’s humour, personality quirks and defining characteristics and idiosyncrasies. As you interact with the characters, the dialogue is designed to make you feel like one of the NCIS team as you unravel the mysteries that the plotline throws up.
