Yes, it’s true, the little yellow bundle of electric energy is coming to the Wii, along with all his pals. It’s crazy to think that there hasn’t been a Pokémon game released for the Wii until now, but PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure is about to change all that. Playing as Pikachu, you must solve the crisis that has befallen the PokéPark; the Sky Prism that has been protecting the park has been shattered, and its pieces scattered all over the place. It’s up to the heroic Pikachu to explore the PokéPark and collect all of the Sky Prism Pieces to save the park.

On your journey, you’ll get to make friends with key Pokémon as you participate in Skill Games and the many challenging Attractions to be found in the different zones, such as the Beach Zone, Iceberg Zone, Lava Zone or Haunted Zone. Each Attraction is a mini-game, such as a footrace, a test of strength or an obstacle course, designed to test your skills to the max. Shake and tilt the Wii Remote to fly, swim and skate your way through a whole host of fun, including Rhyperior’s Bumper Burn, where you have to push Pokémon off a stage, Bulbasaur’s Daring Dash, which is a Pokémon footrace, Venusaur’s Vine Swing, where timing is everything, and Gyarados’ Aqua Dash, which is an obstacle race against the clock. Beat the high score in an Attraction to receive a Sky Prism Piece.

The further you progress in the game, and the more Pokémon that Pikachu befriends, the more of them will become unlocked as playable characters in the various Attractions. Pokémon will also challenge Pikachu to a Skill Game, such as a simple Battle, Hide-and-Seek, or a Chase. In order to befriend the Challenger and recruit them to help you in your mission, you’ll first have to beat them.

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure will be released for Wii on July 9th 2010.
