Gmaecube games no longer work on Wii

I used to own a GameCube, but I gave it away since I now have a Wii. I've played GameCube games on my Wii in the past, but it was literally years ago.

Recently, I found a fairly rare GameCube game I've wanted for a while, and I sat down to play it, but it wouldn't work. I then tested my other GameCube games which I knew worked on my Wii previously, and none of them work anymore.

Basically, I go to start the GameCube game, and then I simply get a black screen. I have to give the system a hard shutdown to use it again. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything I can do, or do I need to look for cheap GameCubes on eBay?

Nothing special. I've probably applied an update or two since then, but I didn't do anything else to it.

It's Chibo-Robo. I started looking for it at used game stores a few years ago. I finally found it.

Maybe flip the discs. Might be inserting in the wrong way.

that sucks hard ... but look around and you might find a used gc for 10 bucks.
