Get ready for another slice of retro arcade heaven to make its way onto the Wii courtesy of SEGA, who has announced that it’s bringing arcade classics Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns to the Nintendo console this summer. The two games, which will be released together as one pack, have been adapted from the original arcade machine games to make full use of the Wii controller, and are also fully compatible with the Wii Zapper. The Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns Arcade Hits Pack, to use its full title, contains new features such as the Chain Combo System, which enables even higher scores, and the Unlockable Weapon Toggle, which uses game ranking to unlock hidden extras such as wide shot, rapid fire and heavy shot.
Both games are set in the airspace above some of the US’s most well-known locations, with Gunblade NY featuring android invaders taking over New York City, and LA Machineguns featuring a new force of android enemy in famous locations such as LA, Alacatraz, Yosemite and Las Vegas.
