Having a slight technical glitch

Just having a slight technical glitch.

I have an Actiontec Router. It works on all the computers, and the Wii; to a certain extent. It connects to my router no problems when I test it. It updates the console, but wont allow me to connect to WiiConnect24 for some strange reason. Even though the test says it works and I can update the console, it wont let me connect to WiiConnect24.

Any settings I need to change or am I doing things right?

Disable the internal firewall in the router. It is not needed, and it can interfere
