Help With Registering Friends

when i go to send a message to one of my friends a message pops up daying that we need to register each other and that is it confirming registration. He has my console # and i have his, he told me he put it in but has not told me if he has had any problems. Anyway today (3-19-08) at about 4:30 PM i read a thread somewhere on this site that you should just wait an hour to an hour and a half and it should work. So at 4:30 i turned my Wii on and let it confirm registration. i came back at 7:00 PM and the same message was up. So do me and my friend need to confirm eachother at the same time or something?

well i know when i added people it took a whole day or two to add them, maybe turning off your wii (so it is in stand by mode so the wiiconnect24 thing will go in) so that it will update ur friends maybe? . . . i dont know it might take up to a day. . . but maybe check the codes that you both entered. cuz i know its easy to mess up on those things
