I suck at fishing!!!

It took me forever to catch that damn fish for the stupid cat in the bloody village. I mean 45 mins.?!
Do you just leave the bait in the water near the fish and sit waiting? is there a technique? I kept accidentaly taking the rod out the water when I tried to move it around...? :mad5:

you dont need bait. it just makes it faster. to put it on you have your rod out and press the bait in a bottle direction. then throw out your line and wait for the bobber to go down. pull back on the wiimote and reel the nunchuck like youre reeling in a fish.
