installed wiikey => wii very hot

I just recently installed my wiikey and it's great. The one problem is that when it's on standby mode (wiiconnect24 on), my thing heats up alot more then it use to when i didn't have the chip. Will this hurt my wii and is there a way to cool it down? Anyone else have this problem ?

i advise getting a wii cooler fan or something. they do make them on gamestop.com

also, do you have your wii standing up or laying down? i heard laying down generates more heat than standing up (thats why mine stands up on the stand)

Yeah, the horizontal position generates more heat than the vertical but I keep mine horizontally anyway, but its fine.

Next time, after your wii eventually brakes or gets bricked. Get a wii and dont install a chip, this way it will stay cooler
