is my wiimote working properly?

hi i bought a wii two days
and ive noticed that while playing wii golf that i have to bring the wiimote back quite far before my mii starts to move the club...
is this normal or is my motion sensor not working right?

Have you read the guide about motion sensor placement and followed it to the letter? That's key before playing any game.

When playing golf on Wii, the power generally does depend on how far you "swing" the Wiimote back. My rule of thumb is to use the Wiimote as if it were an actual golf club and that gives me full power on any swing. By only swinging it a little way back, you limit the power alot and the results will be varied. Try using it like an actual golf club and see how it goes.

thanx for your reply,yes i do swing the wiimote back alot but i never get a full swing(right over his head)
im poping over to a neighbours house a bit later to see if his is the same so at least i will know for sure then if its my wiimote or just the way the game is!!
