Why can't we talk to our team if a game is rated T or M?

Well, no one is really even sure yet. I was just saying that I HOPE we will be able to. The reason I think we may not be able to is looking at the previous Wi-Fi games for DS. As far as we know, the reason Nintendo restricted voice chat to only people on your Friends List is because of safety issues. They didn't want creepy old dudes chatting with little boys/girls.
