Need For Speed, Multiplayer?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out here? I just bought need for speed carbon, on the back of the box, it says that you cn have 2 players, and on every site i've seen it says there is multiplayer (although not online), but I can't seem to find ANY multiplayer options on the menu's.

Does it have to be unlocked? Is it only multiplayer in certain countries?

Just dont understand what's going on, since it says 2 remotes on the back of the box, but then there's no mention of multiplayer in the manual, and i can see no options in the menu.

I Have the UK PAL version by the way.

Click Normal play mate
It comes up with a set-up screen and you can select single or splitscreen [Double]

finally found a thread about this! wii smurf - that didn't work for me. but as I posted elsewhere, you have to have more than one alias registered in career mode, then it gives you splitscreen as a game type in quick race (where it otherwise has a faded "solo"and no other options), so you can play against your mates.
