I thought i would throw up a small selection of nintendo media from the past, back when i was a kid. Some might wonder why people say nintendo is kiddy, well you have marketing and advertisements to blame for that.

Just watch.

(man i love the 80s)(this was back when nintendo was at its best)

So you can see how it has a kiddy image. Why? Because it was marketed towards kids. Those kids grew up and many stuck with nintendo, but nintendo found that if it markets towards children, they will keep the fanbase. Either way, its good to watch the commercials of where it all began when.

Trivia Question: anyone remember why the grey Zapper was turned orange?

What the hell was that bird at the end of the last one

Trivia: I'm guessing that was when the government made all fake guns have to look really fake so the turned it orange so it wouldn't be mistaken for a real gun

haha back then they only had VHS to record the commercials, so that bird is a bit of the commercial after the nes one.

And bingo, you are correct. They thought the original zapper looked "too real" lol so they had to make it orage. I guess they didnt want any kids robbing the local toystore with them zappers.

I was one of those kids. I was that age when the system game out. And the cool thing is that we never grew out of gaming. I have had every system since Atari 2600 and am glad I was a part of the home gaming era. It does this old timer's heart good to see all of you younglings enjoying the next era with the Wii, 360, and PS3.
