Nintendo of America has announced today that for the first time since 2006 it will be a featured exhibitor at the annual Comic-Con expo, due to take place July 22-25 at San Diego Convention Center. During the expo, fans will have the chance to enjoy a hands-on demonstration of “portions” of forthcoming Wii blockbuster, Metroid: Other M, one month ahead of its August 31st North American release date, with the game being available to play at the Nintendo booth, which is number 2944.

Metroid: Other M is a dramatic new chapter that brings the Metroid series back to its franchise roots, representing a dedicated collaboration between the director of Super Metroid, Yoshio Sakamoto, and renowned game development studio, Team Ninja. Fans can expect expert level design, gripping visuals, and a cinematic storyline with seamless third-person and first-person gameplay. For the first time, players will learn the story of Samus Aran, the woman behind the suit.
