Nintendo continues on its favored casual games path with the announcement today of Quiz Party for the Wii, which will be launching in the UK on July 27. Featuring over 2000 questions covering a wide variety of themes, all voiced by legendary Quiz Show host Roy Walker, Quiz Party has no limit to the number of people that can play it. It doesn’t matter what your favourite subject is, as you’ll be asked random selections of questions from such topics as History, Geography, Nature, Sport, TV, Films, and much more. Between two and four teams can play, with as many people as you like on each time, kind of like a pub quiz! Once you’ve formed your team, you get to choose your mascot, either from your own Miis, or from a selection of local mascots. The aim of the game is to answer questions correctly from within five categories to earn stickers, with the categories including Odd One Out, Brainstorm, Blind Test, Multiple Choice and Time’s Up. There are five game modes featured in total: Normal, where you compete to be the first team to collect 15 stickers; Flash Game, where you only need 5 stickers to win; and the self-explanatory Quick Question mode. This sounds much more like a Christmas or holiday season game, so not sure why Nintendo is releasing it in July! Maybe because it’s cold enough to be Winter in the UK right now?!
