I say stop wasting time you could be playing it and send it to Nintendo...Doesn't take that long. You could call them to see how long it will take. Unless you open it up and figure it out yourself, there is no way your getting around this.

Nintendo doesn't take too long on repairs, my brother got his back within two weeks of sending it out. His wouldn't read any wii discs. They sent his to California for repairs, and he lives in Idaho.
