    is there a wire or something that converts the normal monitor plug to a USB?

    a mere cable won't do it, but as this shows it is possible with an external video card.

    There's wires that connect any output to any input.

    You just gotta know where to hunt them down and, like Gaz said, you gotta get the necessary add-ons.

    Not really....

    it may appear so. but this external video card is just a fancy PCI video card in a box connected via usb.. it's hardly a wire that connects from the DVI or VGA to usb. not technically possible.

    you gotta get the necessary add-ons.

    If you have all the proper parts and if you what you're doing, you can rig anything the way you want
