There was rumours a little while back that a version of Goldeneye was being produced for both Xbox live arcade and Wii Virtual Console. Supposedly they couldn't agree on certain terms, and the project was basically in limbo.

If they could agree to some things, it's possible we may see both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on both VC and Live Arcade.

Most of the "facts" were actually rumour. We don't know the specifics of what went on and only have an unnamed "annonymous source" to rely on. The only thing we know for sure is that it was in production, but stopped because of a reason to do with agreements between Microsoft and Nintendo.
