Make no mistake about it, this year’s E3 is going to be all about the Wii U, with everyone expecting Nintendo to launch its next console in grand style at this June’s gaming extravaganza in LA. This means that peripheral makers are also getting ready to reveal their Wii U-compatible wares, and according to a rumour reported on by Nintendo Life, this could include a Wii U peripheral from haptics tech company ViviTouch. The information comes from a leaked E3 floor plan that seems to indicate that ViviTouch will be demonstrating an unnamed Wii U peripheral that features its haptic technology. For those unfamiliar with the technology, it basically is said to create a more immersive gameplaying experience. The details are all a little sketchy at the moment, as with all the best rumours, so we don’t even know if this means that the Wii U controller will actually have built-in haptics technology, or just that ViviTouch will be launching its own third-party controller or add-on for the new Nintendo console. Still it’s an interesting thought to ponder.
