Problem with simultaneous wireless connections

I just noticed that I cannot simultaneously surf the net with my laptop and opera. Internet works flawlessly when I use them separately, but when I try them together the pages do not load. Although this isn't a big problem, since it's kinda dumb to use both and I'm the only person in my apt. that uses wifi, I would like to know what is going on...

I've also noticed that every once in awhile I'll get a notice on my laptop saying "another device is using/interrupting your access point" (or something to that effect), though it never interferes with my connection. (don't know if this is related)

Any insight is greatly appreciated...

That's interesting. What kind of router do you have? Are you using UPnP on the router? If so, try disabling it and see if the messages go away. Do you have WEP or WPA enabled on the router? Double check that there isn't actually other people connected to your router. Last, try changing the channel, it could be a 2.4Ghz phone or other 2.4Ghz device (microwave) that is actually interfering.
