registering..cell phone?

soo today i was adding a friend to my wii and i noticed when you choosing to register a wii or "others" it shows a picture of a cell phone.
anyone have any ideas why? is it just a picture or is there any thing new coming that you can register( like texting )

Yes, you can register your cell phone. It will be text messages as far as I know. it would be your phone number@ whatever service provider.com (Ex: [email protected]). It's just another way to stay in touch.

because that's the e-mail for texting phone numbers...

i already tried that, it doesn't work. i have rogers. is it still www.#######@rogers.com ?

No, there isn't any need for the www prefix in an email. Just the phone number@ service provider.com. Easiest way to find this out is to email your Wii. The adress is as follows...

[email protected]

Once received, you will see your cell phone address.
