Any way to run roms off of an SD card yet?
*In gamecube mode using a gamecube memory card to SD adapter like the SD Gecko.
You are better off just using one of the prebuilt emulator iso's
so how would I go about doing this? I already have every rom imaginable for every console on my hard drive.
What hardware do i need to purchase in order to do this?
Also, how do I burn the disk? DVD?
I am new to the console hacking stuff.
If I use a prebuilt iso, where do I get one, and how do I run it?
how do I run it?
any hardware needed for that?
Well you could make your own ISO to include all of your roms but its a hell of alot easier to use this http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3657707/Wii_Multi-Boot_Rom_Pack_ISO_-_NES_SNES_SMS_SMD_PCE_(NTSC)_[Jap-H
Burn it to good media and play away!
do you have to be chipped or anything to run that?
Of course! You need to take advantage of some type of exploit to run code on the Wii/GC
Either that or use a GC Action replay type disc but then you can't boot Wii copies.
uh.....might want to discuss over an IM client.
discussing warez is clearly against the rules, no matter on your opinion of the site administrator.
I am not discussing warez, as I own the rights to the roms that I am going to put on my wii.
what's the deal with the SD card method? Any links to where I can buy this newfangled, datel SDloader i've been reading about online?
basically im trying to find out the easiest/cheapest way to run the ISO torrent that I can get from a torrent site on my wii without opening it up to install a mod chip.
You are better off asking in a gamecube forum to be honest. The exploits to run homebrew on the Wii are actually remnants of the Gamecube.
I saw a pretty good walkthrough for creating your own disc over on tehskeen if you dont want to use that torrent
any links to NES, SNES, or GENESIS emulators that will run off the SD card setup in this package? I can find ISO for mod chips, but i cant seem to find the emulators for the sd card. THANKS for any info!
Newest version I could find
this illegal..please close this thread mods
No eric it is not illegal. I own the rights to all of the NES roms as I have a complete NES collection, including the bible games and all the other oddities, except the gold nintendo world championship cart. Please don't assume things eric. If I had purchased rights to the game, I'm allowed to record it to any format that I wish as long as it's not for commercial purposes. It's ok eric, nobody is going to arrest you for for illegally using copywrited material in your signature without giving nintendo proper credit, but that's ok, I won't tell. Think before you speak kid. Also, you can PM a moderator, rather than bumping a thread that scares you, think before you do things.
Thanks for the link ciper!
DAMN..its getting hostile up in this thread lol heehehehhe
Yea, i don't like idiots.
1 more question, rather than spending 60 bucks shipped for the sdload kit, is it possible to run that emu disk (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3657707/Wii_Multi-Boot_Rom_Pack_ISO_-_NES_SNES_SMS_SMD_PCE_(NTSC)_[Jap-H)
with a boot disk/swap?
like stick in gamecube action replay, eject it, stick in this disk? Anything that can happen like that instead of spending 60 bucks on the sdload kit? I already have to buy 2 gamecube controllers and that's already more than I'd like to spend. Let me know.
Ok, I've made up my mind. I'll get the 1gb SDload kit. The games I want to put on there all fit on a 1gb card. I will load the emulators and roms onto the sd card. Use the cd with the sd gamecube adapter to run the emulators and load the roms off the sd card. So when I get paid I need 60 bucks to get the sdload kit shipped, and i need 2 gamecube controllers. Then I'm set.
Maybe in Canada. Not everywhere. In fact there are plenty of public domain roms that I can play in the US with the SD loader and the Nintendo emulator without violating any laws.
Dreamcastninja: Consider a PS2 to GC adapter so you can use PS2 controllers instead of GC. Also dont double post! Why don't you want to install a mod chip?
