Honestly can you people not ****ing read? Any card will work!

If you can't reply in a civil manner then dont reply at all, it isn't helpful.

Not all SD Cards are compatible with the Wii console. Please read the following:

The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will likely not work with the Wii console.

SD Cards with a slow speed may experience slow transfer time when loading files, or may not work at all. Slow transfer times can also occur with SD Cards that have a great number of files on them.

While any SD Card with the above specifications may work, Nintendo has licensed specific SD Cards for use with the Wii console. You can identify these cards by the Nintendo Seal on the packaging of the SD Card. At this time, there is one licensed SD Card manufacturer:

Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BD&A) Switch and Carry
256mb, 512mb, 1 GB

Please note that even with a compatible SD Card, some devices may create image or movie files that are not compatible with the Wii Console.

Thank you, do u know how much the special Wii SD cards will cost? cause in my past experiences with things like this Branded cards are SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.....

=Well I know that you can get a 1GB SD card for $15 that is unbranded when it is on sale, which is most of the time jsut at different stores.

But the Wii SD cards I have seen that are 1GB are around $50 not on sale.

So they are not more expensive if you were to buy either the branded one not on sale and an unbranded one not on sale. However if you were to get the unbranded on sale it s considerably cheaper, I have not seen the Wii SD cards on sale yet.

Also what can the USB 2.0 slots be used for?? can these be used for putting pictures onto the Wii or can only SD cards do this?

thanks for this thread. i was wondering the same thing and started a thread on it but the asses that control this website closed it for some reason.

i had a look on ebay and you can get a kingston 2gig for just £18.99. it says on there that its compatable with the wii. but im not sure how fast it will be because it is so cheap.
