Well, I dunno if it's really unique, but I'm having trouble finding a solution.

So, I'm getting Wi-Fi onto my laptop, but my Wii can't seem to find the network. I have a USB-Ethernet adapter, though, so I was wondering if it would be possible for me to route my wi-fi to my Wii via the ethernet. That, or if there's a way to leapfrog my Wi-Fi from my laptop to the Wii. I'm really inexperienced with networking, so a layman's explanation would be greatly appreciated.

Much thanks ahead of time.

You need a wired router or a wireless router.

Choose one of these in order of ease/low maintenance/reliability:
  • USB wired ethernet adapter (by Nintendo for the Wii) to connect to your wired router.
  • Wireless conection (built-in feature of the Wii) to connect to your wireless router. You may have to make sure your wireless router's SSID (network name) is not hidden.
  • Wireless USB Adapter, a tiny white USB dongle made for a PC to replace the purchase of a wireless router comes with instructions.
Make sense?
