my TV speakers have packed up does anyone know of a good speaker system for the Wii . I'm to tight to buy a new tv

well however you do it, make sure you can connect the wii to it, remember there aren't a great deal of options in terms of cabling available (so it will be the red and white - RCA outputs from either your composite or component cables)

either that, or if your tv has any audio out options then it might mean you have more connection possibilities

if you don't already have a dvd player you can get great deals with the "home theater in a box" systems.. under 200 bucks at any big store can get you a good enough set that has 5 speakers and a dvd player

^^yeah I'd go with this guy, if you have the cash for it or dont already have a dvd player, this is the way to go.

true, the deals you can get on these things usually works out pretty well.

BUT - like i said before, check the inputs and connections to make sure you can use a wii through it

All you need to do is make sure it has RCA inputs and supports Dolby Pro Logic II

Get surround! If you have a headphone port on tv plug the rca to red and white cables in there and plug the red and white in to surround done and simple!

I like the suggestions people have posted so far. Something like this http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Zeni...19869/catOid/-12954/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do wouldn't be terrible, better than the built in speakers on your TV.

yeah, for the price on that you can't beat it.. obviously it won't be top of the line or anything, but it'll serve the purpose.. i can vouch for these harmon kardon speakers http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.pro...S18.&JRSource=PriceGrabber.datafeed.HK+HKTS18
i have them with a pioneer receiver and they kick butt.. but that's if you want to go all out :)
