hey
great site and forum. i just joined a few days ago and already many of u have made me feel welcome!
anyways, i went into who's online and there were all these things like Yahoo Slurp Spider and AskJeeves Spider.
What are these?

Basically they are search engine 'bots' that crawl through websites (thats why they're called spiders) indexing the pages in their search engine.

So a Yahoo Slurp Spider will crawl through each page jumping from website to website gathering information and then this will be used to improve the search results when you use yahoo.com.
