Universal Induction Charging Station Announced-1.052009-10-27 17:32:09Maura SVidis has today announced a universal induction charging station designed to make it much easier for you to charge several different devices at once. The Inductive PowerStation can be used with five different device types: the Wii™ Remote, Wii Balance Board™, Xbox 360® controller, Nintendo DSi™ and DS™ Lite. Vidis will also be selling battery packs for the devices. The charging station has three induction coils, meaning that up to three batteries can be charged simultaneously. And to make things even easier, there’s no need to remove the silicone cover on your Wii Remote when charging it.

“We are convinced that we have a pioneering technology in our portfolio with the Inductive PowerStation. For us, this is the highlight of the 2009/2010 season”, said Morten-Stig Johansen, managing director of Vidis.

The Inductive PowerStation and battery packs will be available from November in PAL territories. The PowerStation will have a recommended retail price of €29.99, and the battery packs for the Wii Remote and Balance Board will have a RRP of €14.99 each.
