What's the Wii nickname for?

When I connect to the USB adapter it should come up there, like on the DS Emma comes up... And occasionally, some hacker in the neighbourhood.

If it was used online, hello, isn't Wii about playing together? I'm not having to change my username every freaking time I want to swap from y sister's name to my name.

well whenever i connect to my nintendo wifi usb router it reads "wii" wii is my console nickname and then it will show when i was last connected and what signal strenght im getting from it!
