Started using WII to view netflix 2 weeks ago and everything was fine until yesterday morning. Movies would load then stop and try to reload, after a period of time, 5to 10 minutes, the movie would start again but continue to stop and start. Talked with netflix, streaming is fine, called internet provider and signal strength is good. Unplugged everything, restarted, but problem continues. Nothing special happened to cause the problem that I am aware of. Router is 10 feet from Wii, laptop is getting wireless signal. Help!

You could try updating the system software or restarting the Wii (If you have the Homebrew Channel, BEWARE. Updating may cause loss of the HBC). System updates always seem to do the trick for me when my Wii is having internet-related issues. Updates install new components that some clients may require such as Adobe Flash Player.

It's best to use a wired connection for best results but anyway do the following to improve your connection speed.

Set wii with a Static IP address.
Use OpenDNS 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
MTU: Set to 0 which is auto

Set the Wii IP address on your DMZ within your router.
